Habit wrap up

Whether you gave it your all, or did not take the project seriously. Whether you experienced success or seemed like breaking your routine was not happening. Whether it was easy or hard you all still lived two weeks of your life. In those two weeks you experienced things, felt emotions, and all of you did it in a different way. I had success with the texting and driving but did not ever once sit in my car and not think about the project. I also felt frustration and joy and exhaustion with working out. The point is whatever happened to you in these past two weeks happened and this assignment simply has you recap it. Do it in whatever style you want, make it funny, serious, happy or sad. I will continue to try and get better. Each day one baby step at a time. I will need help throughout my life and so will you. Off to workout! Day 51! By the way this is over 150 words.

  2. I think this project has been very helpful and im happy where i am now but i dont think this will stay with me for a long time. I think this because sometimes i juts have to let it all out, but i usually just hold it in until its killing me then i let it out. Even though i enjoyed this project i dont think anything will help me ever.

    1. Joe you need to find strategies to let out your frustrations. It can get very difficult as you move into high school and beyond to not have coping strategies with frustration and stress. It is a process for everyone but do not give up. Find people you trust to talk to and get your frustrations out before they grow. You are a great athlete so the field is a great place to reduce stress!

  3. This project helped a lot. I know that it takes at least twenty one days to break a habit but the fourteen days we all did together got me going and now I want to finish it so I won't have it anymore. This blog has helped me break my habit. I just want to thank mr.Phillips for starting thia blog and everyone for their support.

  4. I don't think that this project helped that much because i only have trouble with procrastinating when i have a lot of homework, when i have a project due, or when it is difficult. during the time of the project we didn't have a lot of homework, or any projects due, except for this project which i would not consider homework or a project, never the less this project helped me to focus on getting my homework done it also helped to create a routine of coming home and getting my homework done. This "project" was a positive experience. and for assigning this "project" i thank you Mr.Phillips

    1. Hopefully the project helped you be aware of your habit when you are overloaded with work which will happen many times in your life. I hope next time you are you make a conscious effort to not procrastinate!

  5. This project only helped a little. The habit I wanted to break only happens 4 hours a week. I did not have enough time. It will be harder because the project is over, for there will be little to no encouragement. On my part, I chose a bad habit to break. I should have chose something else! For this habit, it is not broken. I have changed very little. However, I do realize how hard it is to break a habit. It that sense, it was a success. I hope it was the same for everyone else! I have to agree w/ you Nick. This project was positive. Thank you Mr.Phillips! This was fun!!

    1. You need to find support else where Gianpaola. You can turn to us any time and I will help you with whatever you need. I still think missing your game Saturday is not a method or habit that will continuing your soccer career. Being on a team is sacred and missing games once you have committed is not good. Continue trying to be a great player without your frustration when contact occurs. As long as you play sport contact will occur. Good luck!

  6. Overall this project was very hard to overcome. It was challenging , difficult , interesting , and acually pretty fun . It was challenging because I had to try so hard not to talk back . It was difficult because not talking to your parents is a hard task . It was interesting because I wanted to see how it went overtime ! Lastly it was fun because it was unique to find out how if I acually talked back or didn't . I liked doing this project because it was a good way to learn to be respectful and how hard it really is to not talk back . In the future I feel that I won't completly overcome this task of not talking back . I always think I may talk back sometimes but hopefully I at least this project teaches me to not talk back as much . This was a very interesting project to try out !

    1. I hope you can find strategies to not talk back. It will rarely get you anywhere except create more stressful situations. You don't want to build a reputation of being someone who talks back! Find other methods of communicating and keep working on it!

  7. My habit was being lazy on the weekends. I thought and thought during the two weeks what I could do instead of being on the phone, or watching tv. Some of the things I did was take my dog for walks, hang out with my sisters, and hang out with my friends. This project was fun and I think it will stick with me in the future because I don't like just sitting around on the weekends or any day! I like to be active and keep my body moving! This was a fun project to do! I learned a lot from it and I hope I will change the way I am on the weekends!

  8. Overall this project was a great learning process. Many of the things I learned how to discipline myself, self-control and ways to break bad habits. I am amazed at the strides I took to break my habit. I have made an accomplishment and I am glad to have done it. I would like to thank everyone and Mr. Phillips for supporting me! Now I am going to continue to quit this habit. I wish we could have done this from the beginning of the year. I am so proud of myself. Thank You!!

  9. Overall this project really helped me to push myself, but it was worth it. Like I said before, this project encouraged me to do, not only my homework, but other things without waisting any time. I honestly didn't imagine myself doing all my homework as early as I did. I'm really going to try my hardest to stop procrastinating, because I know it will benefit me one day. Later on in life, I'll try to think of this project as a reminder that I can break a bad habit, even though it's not easy. Thank you Mr. Phillips for giving us an opportunity to break a bad habit and again, thanks to everyone who supported me!

  10. Well I think the habit project went very well for me. I used my strategy of not watching TV to get up at the right time in the morning. At sometimes I was tired and at others I felt good because I was up early in the morning. I have thought of other ways or strategies to help break my habit like going to bed early so I won’t be so tired in the morning. Even though this project is over in school I will still try to carry on breaking my habit. It might be hard to break my habit because I won’t have all the support of everyone but I will still try my hardest to break my habit.

  11. This project was fun because I endured and took on during the two weeks. My habit was eating with an electronic device. Starting from the first two days, I had no problems, because my parents were aiding me along the way. They held conversations with me and they hid any electronic device away from me. They kept me occupied so that I did not fall into doing my habit. The rest of the first week was hard, because I decided to take in the project by myself. I even found myself doing the habit accidently as if it was an automatic process. But as I entered the second week of the habit, it became more and more easy to handle. I became more self - aware of my actions and motivation was from my friends who encouraged me on the blog. I tried to make it harder during the end of the experiment. I put an electronic device in front of me while I eating. I did not feel any strong urges. But I was more self-aware when I did this. I will still continue to stay from electronic devices during meals, for I may be susceptible to get back into that bad habit. But because of this project, I now know not only how to use different strategies to fight of temptations or urges from bad habits, but also how to create ways to break and prevent habit. During this project I did post about major bad habits such as drinking too much or smoking. I have seen many T.V. ads stating not to smoke or drink responsible. But how hard it must be to break that habit. I will admit, My habit is easier to break because my body itself is not addicted to it. Smokers and alcoholics have their bodies addicted to drugs. It must be really hard for them to break their habit. But in all, this project was fun and mentally challenging. I hope I put in the amount of effort needed for this project.

  12. The habit project for me was ok. Some days when I was bored or in school I would bite my nails. Other days when I was entertained or had something to keep me busy I didn't bite my nails. The first couple of days I had a hard time not biting my nails, but towards the end of the project I started to forget about it and I stopped. Once I would get bore I would bounce my leg. After I stopped that I went back to biting my nails. After I started to paint then it was like a message to my brain saying no don't bite them, remember your not supposed too. I had it under control for a little while, but over the weekends it was hard because school didnt keep me entertained and busy. I had to find other ways not to get back into the habit. School also didnt help with biting my nails. I would sometimes if it was a boring class, but sometime class was entertaining. That habit project tought me that if I try and put my mind to it, I can stop it.

  13. This project was very fun and it taught me a very good lesson. I didn't think it was going to be so hard to give up this habit. But I am glad that this habit is broken, because now not only am I getting more sleep, I'm learning how to use my time much more useful. Even though sometimes it was so tempting to stay on my iPod, I got off of it because I knew I wanted to break this habit. This will be helpful when I want to break some other habits, I just have to encourage myself more and be a little more hard on myself. Now that I used this to break a bad habit of mine, I can use it in life for many other things. This project overall was a very hard, but fun learning process. I hope to break some more of my bad habits. I am so glad this habit is broken. Thank you everyone for the support!

  14. What can I say, I had a great time with this. it helped me with my bad habit. The project was great even if others think of it as a waste of time or boring. I had fun with this. I learned a way for me to stop my bad habit. I was doing well by coming up with ideas and most of it worked apart from when I went to the muscial a had fun singing but after going back to my class rome i got so bored and used my ipad and lost track of time. I was so ashamed in what I did. I will work even if I have to stop using it for a while. But to tell the truth, when I started this I haven't been that bad compared to the past. I had a lot of fun and will always come up with ideas to stop my other bad habits. THANK YOU SO MUCH MR. PHILLIPS FOR BEING THERE FOR ME AND THE REST OF US. Lets have more fun with this.

  15. This project was very challenging yet fun. In the first two days, I took the project seriously. I wasn't lazy and got my homework done easily because I was active and there wasn't that much homework the first week. When it got to the weekends, I did wasn't up for the challenge. I did do my homework when I got home, but then there was nothing else to do. That's when I went on my iPod and that's pretty much all I do on the weekends. When week 2 came around, homework became harder because of everything going on we had to get assessments done sooner. I was that week tempted to use my phone while doing homework, but I was proud I didn't. My habit really was to not be lazy when I have important things to do, but I think I'll work on being lazy in general. Later this month I have some plans with friends so I'll have time to catch up with them and be active at the same time. This project really did help me because of all the support and I thank you. Great job to everyone!

  16. The habit project was excellent and I am glad to say that it is over but now we have a recap on how the last two week went. They went good and I am sad to say that I did apologize at an inappropriate time but after I vowed I would never again do it and it work after that I got off the rest of the time without a problem. I saw great support on this log and I also saw growth in both will power and self control. I thought hat this was a good idea because it gave us a chance to change a part of ourselves that wasn't as good as the others and it made us better people. Now that I have given this up I fell that this will make a difference in my personality, and I believe that it changed it for the better and I also thank Mr. Phillips for allowing me to take this opportunity.

  17. I think that this project really helped me. I am going to watch TV less often and on some days not at all. On most days during the project it was easy, but when I didn't have anything to do and I got really bored. I had some people help me like my mom, dad, and sister who made sure if I was tempted to watch TV they would stop me. I thought the project was really fun to do because I had to make sure I didn't do something that I normally do. So overall the project went well and that I think I'll try to occupy myself with other things to do.

  18. This habit project has taught me that things can be very hard but you just have to fight throught it. No matter what, after this project I will always remember the support system I had with such great people including you Mr.Phillips! I just wanted to say thank you much for everything and whenever I make a bad habit and I realize it I just might go back and do this habit project again because it was really helpful. Just knowing that I had other people doing something like this made it easier for me because I knew I wasn't alone and I knew that someone else was also struggling to do their best to almost break a bad habit of theirs. I can't wait to do other projects on the blog and be able to write/tell other people what went on today! So thank you everyone for being sort of a motivation to keep working hard in life and know that struggles will come down the road and we just have to know how to face them!

  19. My habit has turned into a good habit. Yesterday, when I was done with my homework I just walked upstairs an put on a t- shirt and shorts and just went for a 3 mile run. I think I was very successful in getting rid of this bad habit of mine. I think I will stay this this ruetien that I have right now, I might have days when I just don't want to do it but I will remember this project and that should help me. At first when I started this project I was just to lazy to go like I didn't want to go for a run everyday after school I was used to just going once or twice a week. So I hope that I can stick with going everyday except when I'm sick but that doesn't happen a lot. My plans for the future of this project is to just keep reminding myself about the project and that I'm still doing the project. I hope I'm ready for high school sports by the end of the summer.

Make sure you give yourself at least one rest day a week though so your body can recover. Also remember to give your body plenty of fuel, food hahaha, so you have ample energy to workout. I am glad the project was successful and hope it continues to be a positive!

  20. This project has helped me be a better person. I'm not lying ask much as I used too. When someone asked me a question like did you do this I used to lie every time that question confronted me. Now that i have stopped lying as much I can be trusted more. I hated when i lied every time I was in a bad situation. I hope I can keep up with not lying. I am so glad that we did this project. If i hadn't been apart of this project I probably would have still been lying up to this day. I even feel better about myself. I feel like I'm a new me. I want to thank you Mr. Phillips for being the creator of this project. Thank you all for your support and I hope your habit can be broken1111
