When parents come home the first day after bringing a new born into life there is no instruction manual. They have advice and books they may have read, along with family and friends to support the new life but really they have themselves with a new life ahead of them.
Tonight you will write two paragraphs. First, you will write a list of all the things that would have had to been done around the house before the baby got home. If you are struggling here is a hint, ask your parents!!! Second paragraph, write done how do you think you will feel when you enter the house after being in the hospital for a few days and you return with the new baby. This is a feeling I have never felt but heard many stories from friends and families. Be honest and truthful and work hard. The post is worth 5 dollars but only if I think it is 8th grade work!!!
Today, baby Jackson Tyler Schirduan came home(school). He is a beautiful baby boy. I am eager to hear the pitter patter of small feet on the floor in the coming months.
ReplyDeleteBut yet I am very nervous because the hospital handed me Jackson and didn't give me any directions what so ever. The doctor kind of smiled and said" good luck." And I can't believe how quiet he is. He is such a good egg!
When bringing home a new baby there is a lot of stuff that needs to be prepared. You have to figure where the baby is going to sleep, then buy a bed with a pillow and a blanket. Then there is food, you need to go to te grocery store to formula and other things. After that you need to go the local store and buy a bunch of diapers and wipes!! Finally, toys, there needs to be a good amount of toys in the house that the baby can play with. That's what I would get for the baby.
ReplyDeleteWhen the baby came home I would have a few feelings. The first would be is scared. Like mr Phillips said there is no directions. What if I did something wrong and I didn't know. The second feeling would be joy. I would be so happy that the baby is finally home and I can start a new chapter in my life. Now I can spend time with the baby and teach it things. The final feeling would be relief. That the baby is final home and we are done waiting for nine months. Now I can relax a little and not be paranoid. That is what I would be feeling.
what's your babies name?
DeleteWhen I found out that I was going to give birth I decided to get all the stuff my baby would need. I make a nursery which had a crib and lots of toys . I also got some baby formula for the baby to eat and some diapers . I put safety gates and other safety items around the house so the baby would be secure. Lastly I got a carriage and carrier to hold my baby.
ReplyDeleteFinally I have given birth to a baby boy who's name is Liam . When I come home from the hospital I would feel exhausted . I would also feel relieved that I finally have my baby in the world. I would also probably feel like I'm in pain from all the stress. Overall I would just feel happy that I have a son .
There are a lot of hazards for Jackson! There sharp edges, so I am going to put foam on every sharp edge. I am going to put the cleaning chemicals locked up so he can't drink them. And I am going to get plugs for the outlets in the wall, so he can't electrocute himself.(Mr. Phillips sorry about the order I wrote it backwards in my assignment book.)
ReplyDeleteToday my new baby girl, Elizabeth Bloom Foley, came home to day form the hospital. She is the tiniest thing I have ever seen but so cute. I am very anxious and nervous about taking care of a baby. I am nervous because I have no idea what to do. I am also anxious because I cant wait to see my baby girl grow up to become an amazing women that I know she will become. What I have decided to do around the house is put up a baby proof gate at both of the staircases, baby proof the corners, and put up a baby proof lock on the doorknobs. So far Elizabeth has been quiet and making things much easier than I expected, which is good so I am not complaining.
ReplyDeleteA baby needs lots of preparation. A highchair, crib, and quiet room are only basics. Next, I would need diapers, bibs, and lots of clothes. All dangerous items will be hidden. I would get a new cage for my dog, and keep him occupied. Yes, Nick there are toys. There should always be something for the baby to do. He/she should never become bored. Lastly, I would paint rooms blue and white. Apparently they are some of the few colors[and shades] babies like. That is how I would prepare for a baby!
ReplyDeleteWhen I brought the baby home, I would feel uneasy. That would be my first baby. I would not really know what to do. Also, I would feel well, for I finally have someone to care for, and teach. I guess it would be both different and fun.
The things I did around the house to prepare for baby Matthew Micheal Foley was I turned a room into a nursery with a crib, baby toys and teddy bears. I also made everything baby safe and baby proof. I put foam on the corners of tables and counters. I put gates up to prevent the baby from getting hurt around the house in room he should not be in. I also packed the ferige with baby food and teething toys. I did this all by myself because I'm a single parent getting ready for a new baby egg.
ReplyDeleteOnce I brought little baby Matthew home I didn't know what to do first. He would cry and I didn't know if Matthew was hungry or was need of a diaper change or needed help. He kept me busy that day. I was scared I would break him. I was stressed out and nervous all day, keeping a watchful eye on the little yoke and making sure he was ok. I'm just going to take it day by day.
Today at 9:10 a.m. Barbra came home from the hospital, but before that I had to prepare for her arrival. First I had to make sore I had a cradle for her to sleep in. Next I had to get the walker and other supplies such as diapers and food. I had to look for loose nails and sand sharp corners on the coffee table so that way she would not hart herself near that or anything else. I would have to move all sharp and dangerous its out of her reach and make sure that she doesn't go anywhere she is not supposed to go.
ReplyDeleteWhen I home from the hospital I have a realization that my life has just changed for ever. Also that I am going to have struggles being a single father and that late in life she will grow more angry then grateful but I must stay strong and that I must remember that that is just a part of growing up and that it will change as she matures.
The things I did around the house before I brought my baby Joshua Brown home were 1.making sure that the baby room or him room was ready so when i had the baby i didn't have to worry 2.made sure a had clothes and shoes for him also the baby shower that my family had helped me a lot so i really didn't need to buy a whole lot of clothes and shoes 3.I also made sure that everything was baby proof so that he wouldn't get hurt 4.made sure i had some diapers so that i could change him 5.I would need formula so that i could feed him food 6.made sure that i had a beg packed for the hospital with clothes for myself and Joshua and 7.made sure I had a good job so that I could feed my child and myself and be able to clothe the both of us. Once I brought Joshua home I had somewhat of a clue of what to do because I had the help of my family members. When I brought him home I was really scared because I was afraid that I would drop him or a major scare was feeling like I wash/t a good enough parent for my child. He was a good baby he didn't really cry a lot (which I'm so thankful for for) he was more of a happy, loving baby that just laughed a lot and he definitely got that from me (laugh out loud). At times he did cry but that was really only for his food and for a diaper change. He is a handful I'm not going to lie but its a good thing because he's my motivation to keep on working hard and to do better in school, to get better grades, and to make sure he has a good childhood and life. And that's why I'm happy to be his mother!
ReplyDeleteWith bringing home a new born baby, there is a lot to do before you bring the baby home. First you need to set up a nursery for the baby. You'll need paint, a crib, toys, a changing area, and much more! Second you need to go get diapers, wipes, clothes, blankets, maybe a rocker to put the baby in, a carriage, a car seat, safety locks, safety gates, and everything you need to keep your baby safe and it's essential needs. Third, you'd need food for the baby such a formula, and then baby food.
ReplyDeleteWhen I come home with the baby after being in the hospital for a few days, I'd would be scared, but also happy and safe. I would feel scared because what if I did something wrong, or the baby was crying; I wouldn't know what to do at first, but then I would calm down and rock him to sleep. I would be happy because now I get to live in my house with my new born baby and watch him grow up! I would feel safe because I know I did everything I needed to do to keep my child safe. I would have a mixture of feelings, but I would be very cautious.
To get the house ready for the baby I would prepare a room for the her to sleep in. Next I would put away all the dangerous things the baby could reach like any glass objects on the table. Then I would make sure I had formula for her.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first bring my baby home I would probably be very happy. But I would also be nervous because it would be my first baby and I wouldn't have any idea what to do. I might also be tired because I was in the hospital for a couple days.
When i hard that i was having a baby, i had things i had to do. I had to buy a bed, I hard to go buy clothes that would fit him, i had to supplies for the child.(diapers and things like bottles). I had to buy some toys to make him happy, i had to take all things that are very dangerous to him and also baby food.
ReplyDeleteWhen i was in the hospital i pay alot of money but it didnt matter because i was so happy to have a baby girl. I felt so great to name her Elizabeth Jennette. It was great, i had to take care of her and protect her. At the time i was so scared because this was the frist time i had to take care of a new life and i was worried if i did something wrong what will happen. I would be so happy to see her grow up to be a beautiful girl. I am proud to be a father and i will try to do my best.
After I heard that I was having a baby daughter I began to prepare for the delivery I rushed to the store and bought all of the baby's needs like food, diapers, toys, a baby cradle and lights that turn on automatically when it's night time.
ReplyDeleteI also prepared for when he comes home I bought streamers, cake and invited some of my friends for her birthday party.
When bringing home a new born baby from the hospital for the very first time there is a lot of things to get and prepare for. First you will need to set up he or she's room, in that room you will need a crib, rocking chair, a dresser, blankets, paint and or wallpaper. Second you will need to supply the new born with food such as formula. You will need diapers and baby wipes. Third you will have to buy a car seat, and carriage for the baby. It's important to make sure the house is safe you would want to get safety gates and plugs, make sure that there is no little things hanging around the house that your baby will get in to.
ReplyDeleteWhen I bring my first new born home I will me scarred but yet really happy I would be scarred because I wouldn't know what to do sometimes. Because cause a baby can't talk I wouldn't know what it wanted food or sleep. I would be happy because I just brought home a noes born and half the time all I would be doing is starring at him or her! I would also me happy because I get to watch s/he grow up and see what they are like!
When you first find out you are going to have a baby, you should start planning. First, you should set up the baby's room with things like a diaper changer station and a crib. Second, you should go shopping for baby clothes, food, diapers, wipes, etc. Third, make sure all dangerous things in the house are either removed or covered so the baby can't get hurt. Finally, ask for some advice from other people you may know who went through the process of preparing to have a child.
ReplyDeleteWhen I came home with my baby, I was very happy yet nervous. I was afraid that Natalie would get hurt from things around her. That is why I made sure she is in safe crib and I am making sure I have a close eye on her at all times. Anything could happen in a second and I want to make sure Natalie is as safe as possible. It will be a challenge to take care of a newborn, but I will have fun and be serious with Natalie at the same time.
Today baby Kristan came "home" (aka school). He has been long awaited. In preparation for his arrival some work needed to be done around the house. I had to set up a separate room for the baby that was quiet. I had to buy baby clothes and some "baby furniture". I had to buy a changing table( a definite must!). I also had to "baby proof" the house, in other words I had to remove all potentially dangerous objects to the baby from the house. I had to buy some objects to keep little Kristan occupied and entertained. I also diffidently had to buy baby bottles and formula for whenever the little tyke got hungry. I had to buy a baby tub to wash him in when he needed a bath, warm clothes so he would be able to keep warm in cold weather, and a bag to place all of his dirty diapers before I threw them away. one of the main things I needed was a baby monitor that would tell me whenever he needed me just in case I couldn't hear him when he needed me. There are so many things I did to get ready for little Kristan and to be honest I am worried that I am not ready and wont be a good father. However I need to cast my fears aside and do whatever it takes to take care of baby Kristan!
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of responsibilities when bringing home a new born baby from the hospital. Preparation for the baby and its daily needs is one important responsibility. To make the baby comfortable after coming home from the hospital, I would set up a nursery and crib with sheets and blankets for the baby. I would set up a changing table with fresh diapers and clothes, powder, and wipes. I would also buy a car seat for the baby, formula, and maybe something soft like a stuffed animal.
ReplyDeleteI would probably feel pretty nervous at first after bringing the baby home from the hospital. I would definitely feel more pressured because I'd have a lot more responsibility. I might also feel a little stressed because I wouldn't be positive if was doing the right things for the baby. But despite all these negative feelings, I would probably feel happy, grateful, and at peace in a way because I would get to watch my baby grow and learn day by day.
THere are so many things you have to do to prepare for a new baby coming home. some of the things i did for Jose` was turn a room into a nursery with a crib, baby toys and teddy bears. I also made everything baby safe and baby proof. I put foam on the corners of tables and counters. I put gates up to prevent the baby from getting hurt around the house in room he should not be in. Also i bought diapers and formula, and then the cloths shopping everything he will need for all year long.
ReplyDeleteEven though having a kid is alot of money im glad to have a baby boy because he is a new addition to this family. im a little scared that i will mess this up and that is the biggest fear.
Before bringing a baby home, I had to set a lot of safety measures. I had to also get a lot of comforting things for the baby.
ReplyDeleteFirst, I made sure to keep everything potentially dangerous in a place where my baby cant get to it. Then, I got a changing table and a crib. I also bought diapers and formula.
I also blocked "Bad" television channels, to keep him from learning about swears, violence, or even worse.
Coming home will be a little bit of a challenge. I'm already in debt, which will limit the supplies I'll be able to buy for the baby. I'm sure I'll be able to make it through this set-back. However, I fear I'll mess up, and fail as a father.
Before the baby born I have to make so many changes to the house. The first thing i had to do for baby Diamond was turn a room next to mine into a nursey. This was very hard to do because at first I didnt know what I was doing so i asked a friend and they explained it to me. Second i had to clean every thing in the house so it was very nice for baby Diamond. this meant i had to clean every piece of dust and dirt in the house. Third i had to buy diapers and formula for baby diamond. Fourth and final i had to pack my bag to go to the hospital.
ReplyDeleteAfter having Diamond and going back home i thought to myself this is baby is going to need a lot of time and money on her. But i am glad to to have her because every new life is a gift from God and that is what Diamond is to me a gift from God.
During the last nine months I had to make a room suitable for an infant, obtain and assemble a crib, buy a car seat, buy a carrie, buy a carriage, buy diapers and formula, and spend a few days in the hospital.
ReplyDeleteOn my last day at the hospital my son Sunny Side Up was born. It was a beautiful thing. He looks kinda like me. Now i have to go home and take care of Sunny for many joyful years, even though i have no money for myself. This is part of being a parent. I am glad i have this wonderful gift from God.

ReplyDeleteLittle Luna Einstein was born. After paying a hefty fee that made me loose half of my life saving, I am able to care for Luna outside of the hospital. But first, a few preparation must be done until Luna call my house a home.
First, I will need a crib. The more the baby sleeps, the less likely she will cry. Some new born babies sleep up to 16 hours a day. So it's better to have a firm mattress for Luna. A firm mattress is required because if the baby sleeps on her back on it, this will prevent suffocation.Doctors recommend having a baby stay on her stomach before sleeping for at least 15 - 20 minutes. This will help the baby breathe better while napping and help her to roll over as she develops more.Next,I will need food. Luna will only require formula. No other food is required at this time. I need to make sure that my baby has enough to eat and is eating enough nutrients from it. I need to stay away from bottle made from poly carbonate platics, which can harm a new-born. Staying with a glass bottle or a bottle made from polyethylene, polypropylene or poly-amide is safer. This goes the same for pacifiers. I must be careful of small objects that may get into the baby's mouth. When it comes for diapers, a baby will cry when it's time for a new one. Not changing the diapers frequently enough will result in skin irritation. Some doctors recommend using cloth diapers, for they do nt contain any chemicals and they are re-usable (not that I would enjoy cleaning them). Luna should maintain a stable body temperature of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit. regular doctor check-ups and vaccination is required for her health. For vaccination, the CDC advises to give hepatitis A and B, polio, measles, mumps, rubella, rotavirus and influenza shots. And the most important thing for a baby is for her to play. Playing is said to help prepare a human for future obstacles. Buying her new toys also sparks her curiosity. And most importantly, although babies have little muscle control, Luna loves it when she is moving. I have to exercise her, for maintain balance, develop strength and use new muscles.
Of course there other things such as buying cloths for Luna or accessories (toys). Keeping her in a stable environment with a consistent room temperature and using air purifiers will help her stay healthy.

I have no clue on how I would feel without actually being in that situation. I can imagine a bunch of mix feeling, from being happy that a child or children have entered into a family's life, to be being a little afraid of the challenges the parents will have to endure. But when a child is born, so is a mother and a father. My parents told me that it is a hard duty for them to take on their shoulders, but they do it out of love for me. Having a child is a gift from God. And who knows, maybe my child will be someone famous. Someone that can make a impact on other people lives, for he or she will not strive to be a success, but to be a value for others.
My sources were several websites such as discovery.com and parenting.com and my parents
ReplyDeleteYesterday baby Damian Jesse Nelson was born. Duiring the nine months I had to make a room that would be fitting for an infant. I needed to get a carriage,a carrier, a carseat, diapers and formula, bottles, and pasefires. I knew that once I got to bring him home it would be a struggle for the first few days.
ReplyDeleteAfter my son Damian was born, i never felt so happy in my life. It was beautiful. And Im already in debt which means it will be hard to gather the supplies Ill need for Damian. But theres only one thing I know I wont fail at, and thats at being a mother...
Yesterday Makayla Hannah Power was born. First i would have to pick up like vacuum, find a room for my baby, and get a crib. I would need a baby carrier, car seat, diapers, baby wipes, and a bassinet. It would be difficult because the baby is up every 3 to 4 hours. I could live with it but id have to get used to it.
ReplyDeleteWhen Makayla came into my life I almost cried, she was beautiful. I really felt that she was the one for me. If I had boy I think I wouldn't have had the same feelings like I have for Makayla. This is because girls are easier to handle and easier to take care of. I really love Makayla and i will make sure I can be the best father any one can have.
Coming home would be hard. I would have to get used to my house again and not the hospital. I'd have to have my baby either sleep in the same room as me or sleep in the room next to me. That way i would have easy access if she needed my help. (This was supposed to go before the start of the second paragraph)
DeleteYesterday I had twins! Two boys! I have done a lot of preparing the last few weeks. I got some plastic things to put on the corner of low tables and counters. I bought a carriage and some other toys. My friends have also helped, they have bought me many things for the baby at the baby shower.
ReplyDeleteNow that the baby is here I am so happy to be a parent. I'm also a little scared because a baby is a big responsibility. This will be a great experience. Before I know it they will be teenagers! I will always be there for them. I am so thankful to get the opportunity to become a parent.
I was also unable to get a can good for today.
ReplyDeleteI can't find a coin from before 1960 the oldest one I could find is from 1963
ReplyDeleteI forgot my science workbook in school today. Will someone tell me the questions in the workbook (Not the answers, obviously) through Facebook, Twitter, Text, E-Mail, Phone, etc.
ReplyDeleteThat is, unless the homework for 8a isn't due tomorrow, due to the fact that we don't have science class. If it isn't due tomorrow, can someone tell me?
I cannot find any coins, can anyone help me out?
ReplyDeleteI don't have any coins, the latest one I have is 1960
