  7. One of my bad habits is that I don't exercise as much as I should be. Every time I say I will I find something else to do. I would like to get rid of this bad habit because when it comes time for sports in high school they won't give me a free pass if I don't want to do it. I can solve this by going for a run with my friends so at least it can be fun. Or when I take my dog for a walk (which is everyday) I could run instead with her. Last I could listen to music. It will help me be entertained while running so I would actually want to keep going.

  8. One of my bad habits is talking back to my parents. I have many bad habits but I thought that this one is important because its not right to be disrespectful to my parents. I know it's wrong to talk back but sometimes I get very angry and reply to what they said in a harsh tone. A way I'm going to try to avoid this habit is thinking before I speak. I would try to hold myself back from saying something rude. I'm going to try very hard to avoid this habit for hopefully a long time !

  9. The bad habit that i am chosing is doing my homework at the last minute on weekends. I usually start my homework late sunday night, sometimes even monday morning. i dont know why i have this habit. It started in sixth grade. I need to figure out why i wait last minute and not do it sooner. One way i can break this habit is having a parent or guardian remind me in the middle of the weekend. Just a slight reminder to start my homework. A second way that i can break the habit is maybe put a little note somewhere where i can see it. A third way is try to get most of the homework done in class when the teachers let me. I can also ask a teacher about some good ways to break my habit or any habit. For me to break this habit i would need use the ways for a long tine to start a good habit.

  10. The habit that I am going to break is eating before dinner. I want to do this because when I do this, I am not hungry for dinner. I am going to achieve my goal by occupying myself with something else to do. For example, I will go outside, read a book, listen to music or do homework. If I use this time that I usually snack afterschool doing homework, then I will be achieving my second goal. The second is starting my homework earlier.

  11. My bad habit that I am trying to break is to stop being too apologetic. I want to brake this habit because people are sick of me saying sorry all the time. I have been to stop but I just can't. I can break this habit by just keeping quiet and not say anything if I feel sorry for that person. I could save about ten minutes total each day if I do this.

  12. The habit I chose to break is laziness. I chose this habit because when I am lazy, I have other things to do but I choose not to do them. I want to break this habit of mine so I can help the people around me and take care of things that need to be done. Stratergies I have chose to aviod me from being lazy is to ask my sister if she needs help with anything. If her answer is no, then I will ask for permission to take my nephews outside. Another thing I can do is to see if there are very important things I need to do such as homework. I could also take a walk outside or exercise, helping me improve my bad habit of lack of exercise. With the help of my friends and family I am sure I can get more things done and become more active.

  13. The habit I chose to give up is procrastination. I can break this habit by doing projects when their are assigned. I can start my home work as soon as i get home. I can not wait till the last minute to do things I am assigned. I am pretty sure I can do this with help from my friends and family.

    1. Good habit to break Hunter but these are not strategies to break them. You need to do creating a work area that helps you get work done. This will be a great challenge with hard work and discipline involved but you can do it!

  14. The habit I chose to gradually break is interrupting someone else when we are engaged in a conversation. One of the ways to tackle this problem is to realize or figure out why I am accustomed to do this habit, what it is that motivation of doing, or how it affects me. In this case, when I interrupt someone, I want to get my ideas out that moment when I start to think about them. The next way of taking care of the matter is finding out the pros and cons of the habit. If the habit is bad, then there should be more cons than pros. So for this matter, the pro can be that I am getting my idea out before I forget it or fixing the speaker's mistake if he or she makes one. The cons could be offending the speaker or saying something without fully paying attention to what the speaker said. This is also a bad practice for communication. Then the next move is to take action by avoiding doing the habit and substituting another practice or replacement for it. So, in order to avoid interrupting someone, I should be more engaged into the topic and try to listen and think about the words that is being spoken. Then, once the speaker is done, try to contribute to the conversation. This may be hard because I have tried this before, but I could recall the thoughts that I have thought out while participating in the conversation. So trying to improve my ability to recall memory or taking notes would help in the process. I have also picked up tips of using body language to show my feeling towards the conversation rather than using words. And finally, in order to break the habit, I have keep up this routine for about 21-28 days.

  15. The habit i chose to give up is stop being so disrespectful to my parents and sometimes to my teachers. This usually happens when im mad already and i don't think and just say whatever is on my mind! To be honest it doesn't usually come out good at all. i plan to break this habit by thinking before i talk and try to hold them back no mater how bad i want to say them.

  16. Great job everyone so far and I figured some stuff out on the blog as you can see now! I am going to give up texting and driving. The strategies I will use is to shut my phone off when I get into the car and then if this doesn't work I will place my phone in the trunk where I cannnot reach it. Another method I will us is if someone is with me in the car I will give them my phone. It will not be easy but to remember to do so I am going to post a note on my dashboard to remind me to do so. It is not worth hurting someone else or myself over a text when I can call them or just wait until I get out of the car. I will need some help so hopefully you guys can be my support! Good luck to everyone and I look forward to blogging with you all!

  17. the bad habit that i have decided to give up is procrastinating. I always seem to leave things for the last second. Some strategies that can help me conquer this habit are completing my homework/responsibilities as soon as possible. Another strategy is doing homework with friends or family. but having a good workplace, a place with out any distractions where i can fully concentrate will also help.

  18. The bad habit im going to give p is procrastinating. I aways leave things for the last second instead of doing them right away. Some things that could hlp me conqure this bad habit are studing/doing homework and taking care of my responsibiliies sooner. I can also ask one of my friends or family members for help on question, if i need help, instead of sitting there and struggling, or being distracted.

  19. The bad habit I'm giving up is biting my nails. It is something that isn't very good to do especially because I have braces. Somethings I could do to help me break this habit is I could make a mark on a piece of paper each time I catch myself biting my nails. At the end of each day I will count up each mark and put a quarter in a jar for every mark. And every day I go without biting my nails I get some of the money back.

  23. My bad habit is lying. I have started this habit when I was 7. I started doing this over and over again because I thought it would get me out of trouble. It didn't. The facts are it got me into more trouble. I can overcome this bad habit by telling the truth or don't get into situation that could lead up to me lying.

  24. My bad habit is staying on my electronics too long on school nights. I usually am on my phone or iPod until 10:30 or 11:00 o' clock at night. To break this bad habit I can shut my phone and iPod off at 10:00 o' clock. Another method is to put them into a draw or somewhere where I can't reach them.

  26. My bad habit is hurting people while playing sports. They kick me, and i hate that they get away with it. I feel the need to embarrass them. My doctor [ and parents ] tell me that i do not have anger issues. This is just a bad habit i need to stop!!! I will try to stop this by finding something else to do, like passing the ball. The main reason people kick me is because i come to close to them to play footwork. By passing, i can stay farther away. That right there stops my problem!

  27. What habit I chose to break was to stop using the computer too much. When I finish my homework I immediately go on the computer and stay there for about 3 hours, and I go to sleep. Sometimes I don't attend sport activities or go to any parties because I have a strong desire to go on the computer. What I thought I could do to break this habit was to ask my parents if they can sign me up for an after school activity so I can prevent myself from even thinking about the devise. I can even make new friends from that. During the weekend I could probably watch T.V. or go outside to someone's house. However, i'm worried that watching T.V. maybe become a habit of itself. Later on can you help me find a way that is easy and simple to break this habit please. Thank you.

  29. The habit I plan to lose is procrastinating. Procrastinating usually takes up a huge part of my day, which leads to a decline of my grade. I will often procrastinate for hours at a time. Sometimes it even goes up to 10 hours.
My plan to lose this bad habit is to run completely around my neighborhood and come back on the other side whenever I catch myself procrastinating. The distance completely around my neighborhood is about half of a mile, so it should be long enough to get my mind focused on what I'm supposed to do.

    (Sorry for lateness)
